Roberto Antonio Calero
About me
My name is Roberto Antonio Calero, and I am a third-year Ph.D. student in the Legal Psychology program at Florida International University. I work with Dr. Nadja Schreiber Compo in the Investigative Interviewing Lab (ILab), where my research focuses on procedural justice in policing, particularly in the areas of police use of force training, policy, and community policing. I am interested in understanding how procedural fairness influences officer decision-making, community trust, and perceptions of police legitimacy. More broadly, my work aims to examine how training and policy can be used to improve transparency, accountability, and police-community relations. Through this research, I hope to help develop evidence-based approaches that support fairer and more effective policing practices.
